Commissioned to accompany the London Science Museum’s Energy Futures gallery, the Energy Ninjas date back to 2004, and are showing their age somewhat. You investigate a town for wasteful CO2 emissions. Cultural references may seem a bit crass to some players, as might the idea of hitting people over the head with messages of energy efficiency to enact social change. The gaming is limited too, as players just move arrows back and forth to take the ‘Ninjas’ to difficult locations where they admonish townspeople for travelling by plane or turning out their heating.
